On Friday we celebrated Halloween with a Halloween Parade which was the start of our fall festival. The children brought costumes and we had a costume parade around the parking lot and walked around to the front parking lot. When the parade was finished we went back to the school for activities in the yard. The children had many stations to choose from, they could decorate a cupcake, play with rice and spiders, scoop out the messy insides of a pumpkin, explore and make a painting with shaving cream and glitter, have their face painted by Ms. Viviene or just play on the playground with their friends. It was a really fun day. All of the children had fun and Lunch of Pizza, fruit, veggies, and a special cookie was provided by the school for all of the children. It was great to see the parents who also turned out to enjoy the festivities with their children. All of the children had fun in the morning and by the time nap rolled around they were ready. In the afternoon we had special treats provided by Ava’s family, and had a very mellow rest of the afternoon. I asked one of the children what their favorite part was and they said “playing with my friends and painting with shaving cream”. It was a fun messy day filled with happiness, smiles, chickens, princesses, kitty’s and sharks. We hope that everyone has a safe fun Halloween.
